Planning Major 1v1 2v2 tournament

Hello I Twinmill.AG and 1* walaalaa plan on hosting a massive 1v1 and 2v2 tournament.

We are using this tournament to see if its worth putting the time and money into making a full-scale league. I myself have been on the competative circuit for many years now and have experience with many tournaments/ leagues. I currentley have an old friend developing a professional site by his company Digital-Vice . The main thing i need to know is how many of you would be intersted in a large scale tournament??? I need to know because i plan on going out and getting sponsors and prizes. The more of you that post and say you would like this will make it easiar for us to prove to sponsors that yes its worth the prizes we will be asking them to donate

The two tournaments we will be hosting is a

1 v 1
- large Funds
- 60 min timelimit
- Late Era
- Large Unit

More rules will be posted but those are the basics

For the 2v2 it will be mainly the same rules but their will be a cap of 4 max members a team. By doing this it will alow Clans/ squads to have multiple teams witch will be better and allow for more competition.

The forums on the site wil also be laid out like this :

NAME OF SITE

-Latest News
-General Discussion
-Site Suggestions And Ideas
-Technical Support

Empire Total War Summer Tournament

- General Tournament Discussion
- Squad / Clan Sign ups
1v1 signs ups
2v2 Signs ups
- Match Scheduals
1v1 Scheduals
2v2 Scheduals
- Disputes
- Sponsors

Empire Total War

- Empire TW General Discussion
- Empire TW Multiplayer
- Empire Squad Clan Recruiting
-Squad/ clan discussion
-Squad/ clan Recruiting
- Empire Tech support

I should have the two templates by may 4th and the site within a week of choosing.

Now this is the important thing many of us are investing time into this so i need to know from the community who will be intersted in playing and in what, Because i need to go to sponsors and show them that yes this will be a serious successful tournament and that it will be worth their time.

I look forward from hearing back from the community on this and hopefully making it successful

We've had large-scale leagues and tournaments for years.... During active times we have CWC, TWPL, CWB, CCS... all 3v3 or 4v4 tournaments that take months to finish. Additionally there are a good many tournaments that host 1v1's or 2v2's... TC has been doing a good job for a long time with those, etc.

None of them have sponsors, however..... You wouldn't have any trouble getting people to sign up, if you did....

Naiver..... :lash: :D

Yep, I fully agree with Merc, just look at CWC which has 40 registered 4v4 teams for both land and naval. If you can get sponsors, which I don't think any other tournament has managed as of yet for a total war game then I can't see you having any problems getting alot of signups.

Well my clan would be interested. Also if you are after an idea of support check out CWC. Those clans are keen enough to join a big game tourney while the kinks are still being ironed out. Once that starts winding up you'll have those players as well as the more patient / less patient ones keen to join your tourney. That's assuming the next patch does the trick for multiplayer. :gj:

Also you might find that a no fixed artillery rule helps your cause. It seems to be the rule most commonly asked for.

We in Arcani would definitely be interested in this.

I'd imagine that all the Polish & Russian clans would sign up as they join almost every tourney regardless.
